Aalborg Export Akvavit is a Danish akvavit at 38% ABV, launched in 1913 by C.A. Olesen, one of the founders of De Danske Spritfabrikker.

It is made from a caraway distillate rounded with sherry, which at the time made it the first cask-aged akvavit from Aalborg. That ageing gives the spirit its characteristic golden colour.

Where Aalborg Taffel is sharp and clear, Aalborg Export is softer and rounder, since the caraway aroma is complemented by nuances from the sherry casks.
