Which whisky MUST you taste during your summer vacation?

We give you the answer

Post by Steven Kramme

If you can't decide what to drink. I've helped a little by finding 5 whiskies/activities for your summer vacation. Here I've looked at what goes well with summer and the activities you can do. I've made the list on the premise that it should be whiskey that everyone can get their hands on. That is, no special bottlings or rare whiskies.

No. 1 - In the heat of summer, it can actually be quite nice to have a whisky that has been cooled down with a little ice. For this I have chosen High West Double Rye at 46% alc. It's perfect for a summer day. Or while grilling. You can use a tumbler glass with ice in it. Perfect for summer.

No. 2

I choose a whisky from Denmark. There are quite a few to choose from. But the choice has fallen on Fary Lochan, which generally makes some really good whisky. Both at home and abroad, they have been recognized for their high quality. So, if you're in the vicinity of Give, stop by and buy a bottle and be impressed by what we can do in little Denmark.

No. 3

Hot chocolate and whisky. A great combo that has been refined by Talisker. For the late night hours with good friends. Tasted it with cocoa at Whiskymessen in 2020. I'm a fan. It's been a staple in my collection ever since. Can of course be drunk neat.

No. 4

I have chosen a real smoke bomb. Ardbeg Wee Beastie 5 years at 47.5% alc. A brutal little guy that can knock the socks off even the best. If you haven't tried smoked whisky, this is a great option. It's great by the fire and is a whisky you can talk about for a long time. Despite its young age, it has quite a lot to offer.

No. 5

A Highland Park 18 year old at 43% alc, by far the most expensive whisky in this lineup. This is a top whisky. It is for those who really want to treat themselves or their friends. A whisky that is super delicious. There are many who call it the perfect whisky. I think you should judge for yourself.

I have deliberately not written what the different whiskies taste like. Of course, it has to be experienced. Give yourself a challenge and try them all before the summer is over. What is your favorite?
