A new player in the Irish whiskey market has emerged, read more about Waterford distillery and their approach to whiskey

Organic whiskey from the Emerald Isle

Biodynamic whiskey from field to bottle

At Waterford Distillery, Irish whiskey is produced with the same philosophy as the best winemakers in the world. They simply understand and appreciate the Irish barley as they understand and appreciate the grapes in the world of wine. Waterford Distillery makes terroir-driven whiskey with a focus on the natural character of the barley malt, and their portfolio includes a total of three ranges; Single Farm Origin, Arcadian and Cuvées.

In the series Single Farm Origin series uses 100% Irish barley, widely considered to be the best in the world. The whiskies in this series explore the Irish terroir; one farm, one place, one whisky at a time. The series showcases different flavors of barley that are determined by the individual fields and harvests.

Arcadian-series represents the distillery's otherworldly delights. This range is made in collaboration with forward-thinking farmers and inspiring growers whose ethos and lifestyle respects the land and the old ways in the pursuit of pure flavor.

Last but not least, the Cuvées-series is the combination of flavors from field to field and farmer to farmer. Here, the distillery's master blender combines different single field expressions, creating a choir of song by bringing the soloists together.

About Waterford

There are many exciting things happening when it comes to Irish whiskey. Or rather, Irish whiskey - that's how they spell it at Waterford Distillery.

Behind Waterford Distillery is whiskey legend Mark Reynier, former CEO of Bruichladdich Dis tillery - a distillery that he, along with a group of private investors, acquired back in 2000 from Whyte & Mackay for six million pounds. 12 years later, they sold the distillery to Remy Cointreau for no less than £58 million. Mark voted against the sale of Bruichladdich and in 2015 he started another ambitious project; Waterford Distillery.

Waterford Distillery produces some of the most exciting whisky on the market. They have a unique approach to whisky production that you can really taste. The producer has already garnered great reviews from the major whisky critics, with a special mention of 90 points from whisky oracle Serge Valentin (Whiskyfun.com); "Extremely impressive, and I mean it. And it's not all about cask magic."
