  Solari Bitter Aperitif is an Italian Bitter Liqueur made from an original Italian recipe and bottled at 25%.

  The bottle is a licensed product of Distillerie Sembenotti in Trento, imported to the German market by HAY Markenimport GmbH in Erftstadt. The postal code format on the label (5042) predates Germany's 1993 postcode reform, which places the bottling somewhere in the 1980s or very early 1990s. Solari belongs to the same family of Italian bitter aperitifs as Campari and Aperol — deep red in the glass, rooted in the classic Italian aperitivo tradition where bitter herbal and citrus extracts form the backbone of the flavour.

  The label itself carries three serving suggestions straight from the producer, along with an instruction to serve it well chilled.

  Distillerie Sembenotti is still family-run in Trento today — in 2020 the Sembenotti brothers also took over the historic Distilleria Alpina, founded in 1930, carrying another old Trentino bitter tradition forward into a new generation.
