When two casks with distinct personalities meet, something truly special happens. That’s exactly the case with our new limited release: FIFTY FIFTY – a harmonious yet characterful fusion of two Thy Whisky expressions, each telling its own story.
Cask #1036 – Unpeated Oloroso intensity
An unpeated first fill Oloroso sherry cask that, after 2.5 years, sprang a leak and was transferred into yet another first fill Oloroso cask. The result is a double sherry‑kissed dram with depth, warmth, and intense fruitiness – pure magic for sherry lovers.
Cask #664 – Bøg, the smoke of Thy’s coastline
The other half is Thy’s iconic Bøg – smoked over beechwood, crafted from organic barley, and matured in a used PX sherry cask. Here you’ll find notes reminiscent of campfire smoke, sea breeze, and the traditional smokehouses along the coast. Rich malty smoke, baked fruits, and a dark, rounded sweetness from the PX complete the profile.
