History & Background

Stockholms Bränneri was founded by Anna and Calle, who set up their distillery in an old Jaguar workshop on Södermalm in Stockholm. From the start the ambition was to make a gin rooted in their Nordic heritage, built on organic wheat and spiced with botanicals like elderberry, rosemary and heather that they have a personal connection to. The location in the middle of the city, far from the traditional image of a rural distillery, became part of the brand's identity, a reminder that Nordic craft can thrive in a city backyard too. The distillery today stands as one of the most personal examples of Sweden's craft gin wave.
