Stauning Young Rye 2017 February is a Danish Rye Whisky bottled at 48.4% and distilled in 2013. Released February 2017. Made from 100% Danish rye malt, floor-malted and double distilled. 2,377 bottles. Non-chill filtered with natural colour.

At 48.4% ABV this edition is more approachable than the stronger variants in the series. It provides a softer entry into Stauning's rye character – spiced and fruity without overwhelming the palate.

Nose

Rye, light blossom and dried fruit. Honey and baked grain with a mild spice note.

Palate

Soft and malt-rich with rye bread, light pepper and peach. Balanced and approachable.

Finish

Moderate with malt sweetness and light spice. Pleasant ending.
