    Expert Description

S.B.S Jamaica 2016 WPL Bourbon and Marsala Cask is a Jamaican Rum matured in ex-Bourbon and Marsala casks and bottled at cask strength, 52%. It is a single cask rum made from molasses and distilled in a pot still in 2016. After 9 years in cask, 1423 World Class Spirits bottled it in September 2025 as part of the S.B.S Single Barrel Selection series, non chill filtered.

WPL stands for Worthy Park Light. It is a mark that refers to the ester content of the rum, the aroma compounds that give Jamaican rum its fruity character. The flavour moves from tropical fruit into caramel and toasted nuts.
