"Ki" means sun in the Mayan Quiché language - a name that captures the warmth and soul running through this Guatemalan rum.
Expert description
Ron Botran Ki' is a Rum from Guatemala, matured in casks including ex-American whiskey and Moscatel casks, bottled at 40%.
Botran Ki' is made from top-quality sugar cane juice, so-called "virgin honey", and matured through a specially adapted solera system, where the rum is dynamically moved between casks of different ages to create a unique balance of young and older rum. Part of the maturation takes place in casks that previously held Moscatel wine, giving the rum its characteristic sweetness and softness.
Behind the rum is Ron Botran, one of Guatemala's most respected rum houses, which has been producing rum since the 1930s. With no added sugar, Botran Ki' retains its authentic character, making it versatile - just as well suited at room temperature as in a cocktail.
