Norrbottens Destilleri Fusion 004 Schnaps is a Swedish akvavit bottled at 38% ABV.
The bottle comes from Norrbottens Destilleri in Töre, a small distillery in Norrbotten close to the Arctic Circle along Sweden's northern coast. The distillery was founded in 2016 by Dennis Bejedal, a self-taught distiller born in Stockholm who is now based in the village of Pålänge, home to roughly 400 people. Every bottle from the distillery is hand-dipped in wax, and production is built on organic ingredients sourced from Norrbotten's forests and soil.
Fusion 004 is the distillery's take on an akvavit that blends the traditional with the unexpected. Caraway and dill lay down a familiar, herbal foundation, while Batak pepper - an Indonesian peppercorn - adds a crisp, citrus-driven sharpness. Toasted sweet fennel rounds off the flavour with a warm, aromatic finish. The product is organic certified.
