About Jan OhrtAs

an old globetrotter, I've been traveling the world for 45 years for fun and for work, but I've always brought my senses and my stomach with me. I've drunk rum in South America, the Caribbean, Central America, my home and several places in Asia and this refined alcohol has always fascinated me with its history and diversity. I'm excited to share my experiences of selections from around the rum world map in a way everyone can understand, mostly because I'm not a trained rum aficionado but rather a happy amateur. You will experience the rum drunk neat, as part of a cocktail, and I may occasionally add it to food. In return, I promise that each little story will be accompanied by a larger or smaller snack, tailored to the respective rum, with a detailed opskrift and a great photo.
