This is the bottle that started the Collectors series. Here Romdeluxe have blended their own take on a classic navy rum, which in this case consists of 28% rum from Trinidad and 22% from Barbados - both 10 years old - while there is also 26% Jamaica rum and 24% Guyana rum of 11 years in the blend, which is bottled as gunpowder proof - that is 57.18%.

Aroma: My nose took a while to tame this glass. It goes in many directions and it's clear that the blend contains many different styles. For me, the most dominant notes are caramel, coconut, English licorice and burnt oak. The aroma gives me expectations of a very bold rum.

Taste: You can pour this one on your friends who have started drinking rum and want something that kicks a little harder than the usual bottlings. I get a sweet first impression of burnt sugar and a hint of coconut before the oak and notes of workshop and tobacco take over. A good, multi-layered glass that won't revolutionize or scare away newcomers.
