About Allan BjerreskovI

am 38 years old and live in Amager with my fiancé and our little daughter. I am a trained journalist and work as a press officer. My passion for rum started in 2005 when I lived and worked as a guide in Venezuela. It started with pouring some sweet Cacique into cola and drinking Pampero Anniversario neat when I wanted to be classy. Since then, my taste has shifted and I can't get it strong and heavy enough. I like Hampden and Long Pond or Grand Arome from Savanna. The display case at home is filled with bottles faster than I can drink them, and the pearl in the collection so far is the 1984 edition of Appleton's Hearts series. Partly because I finally managed to get my hands on a cask strength rum with full tropical maturation from the year I was born. I enjoy hosting tastings for friends and acquaintances and look forward to sharing my enthusiasm for rum with whisky.dk's readers.
