592 bottles is all the world got of this blend, where RomDeLuxe lets a high-ester Jamaican legacy rub off on the Dominican Republic's gentlest rum style.
Expert Description
RomDeLuxe Collectors Series Rum #8 Dominican Republic Single Cask is a Dominican Republic Rum, a blend of 15 and 16 year old rum bottled at 65%.
The rum consists of 80% 15-year-old, tropically aged Dominican rum distilled on column stills and aged in ex-bourbon casks, while the remaining 20% is a 16-year-old Grand Arome, a high-ester rum style originally developed in Jamaica. This combination gives the soft, mild Dominican base character a touch of Jamaican intensity without overpowering it. The release came in March 2022 and comprised only 592 numbered bottles.
The result is a rum that unites the gentleness of Dominican rum craft with a distinct, more characterful layer beneath the surface.
