The distillery is based in Vestmanna on Streymoy and was founded in 2021 by Bogi Karbech Mouritsen and Dánial Hoydal, who set out to use the North Atlantic's harsh, damp climate for slow, complex maturation.

This small batch expression is made with wild angelica root and stalk, hand-harvested on the cliffs around Vestmanna, adding a mild, green spiciness. Alongside it sits North Atlantic seaweed, which gives the akvavit an unmistakably maritime character and a mineral depth rarely found in Danish or Swedish akvavits.
