Camus Père & Fils is one of Gevrey-Chambertin's most respected winegrowing families, known for owning more Grand Cru vineyards than anyone else in the village.
Expert's Description
Camus Père & Fils Gevrey-Chambertin 2018 is a Red Wine from Burgundy, France made from Pinot Noir, bottled at 12.5% ABV.
The domaine is run by Hubert Camus, who took over from his father in 1974 and has since built a reputation as one of Burgundy's foremost Grand Cru experts. The family has grown wine in Gevrey-Chambertin since 1832, and the 18 hectares, two-thirds of which are classified Grand Cru, are today run alongside daughter Marie-Édith Camus. This village-level Gevrey-Chambertin is hand-harvested and traditionally vinified with 14-18 months of oak ageing.
