The Trois Rivières plantation sits so close to the sea that you can taste it in the rum. Cuvée de l'Océan is the distillery's tribute to the salty breeze that blows in over the cane fields every single day.
Expert Description
Trois Rivières Cuvée de l'Océan is a Martinique Rhum Agricole Blanc distilled from fresh sugar cane juice and bottled at 42%.
The rum is produced at the Trois Rivières plantation in southern Martinique, where the distillery's proximity to the sea gives the rum an unmistakably mineral and salty character. As a Rhum Agricole it's distilled from fresh, unpressed cane juice rather than molasses, and as Cuvée de l'Océan it's neither cask aged nor filtered in a way that would strip away its raw, green character.
The name is no coincidence: the coastal location leaves clear traces of iodine, sea salt and beach pebbles, a profile that sets Cuvée de l'Océan apart from most other white Rhum Agricole from the island.
