Takamaka Blanc is a White Rum distilled on column and pot still and bottled at 40.2%.

The rum comes from Trois Frères Distillery on Mahé in the Seychelles, the country's only distillery. The base is a molasses-based column distillate, distilled up to 94%, which is then diluted with pure spring water from the island to bottling strength. A smaller share of high-ester pot still rum is added to give a soft, creamy character and natural aromatic undertones typical of the style from this part of the Indian Ocean.

Tasting notes

Nose

Bright and lightly aromatic with sugarcane, lime zest, green apple and a hint of pepper.

Palate

Soft and clean with hints of banana, coconut water and vanilla, plus a touch of white and black pepper, unripe pineapple and creamy lemongrass.

Finish

Crisp and refreshing with a dry, grassy close.
