Bunnahabhain Staoisha 2013/2019 A. D. Rattray 5 Years Old is a Single Islay Malt Whisky matured in a bourbon hogshead and bottled at cask strength, 60.1%.

The whisky was distilled in October 2013 and bottled after just five years, giving a young and raw take on Staoisha – Bunnahabhain's peated spirit. A. D. Rattray drew it from cask #10537 and bottled it straight from the wood without chill filtration.

The young age means the peat smoke stands right at the front of the glass, while the bourbon cask has only just begun to add a light sweetness on top.

Tasting Notes

Nose

Fresh peat smoke with a hint of citrus and freshly baked bread.

Powerful smoke meets pepper and a young sweetness of vanilla custard.
