Santos Dumont XO 70cl / 40% Brasil Rum Alberto Santos Dumont was a great pioneer in aviation, and was the first to fly a heavy aircraft in Europe. However, the story of this rum is based on Dumont's childhood. He was born in Brazil, the son of a wealthy coffee and sugar producer. On the huge plantation, they produced both rum and the Brazilian national spirit Cachaca. In his adult life, however, he became more interested in aviation and moved the whole family to France. His interest in adventure and aviation came from reading Jules Verne's novels. Santos Dumont XO has been aged in three types of barrels that help give it flavor, character and softness. It has been aged in Ex-bourbon, PX sherry and port wine casks
