Rum Nation Barbados 2008 is a fine example of how Foursquare masterfully balances complexity and elegance. Despite its high strength, the alcohol is remarkably smooth, offering a soft and refined mouthfeel. The nose opens with notes of coconut, vanilla, leather, and citrus. The palate is rich and full-bodied, with layers of dark chocolate, candied almonds, coffee, and brown sugar. The finish is long, silky, and well-rounded – with lingering touches of vanilla, soft tannins, and gently drying oak.
