Rum Nation Rare Rums Foursquare 2008/2024 is a Rum from Barbados, distilled at the Foursquare distillery, matured 16 years in ex-bourbon casks and bottled at natural cask strength 56%.
The rum comes from the Foursquare distillery in Barbados, one of Caribbean rum's most respected producers, and is bottled by Italian independent bottler Rum Nation under their Rare Rums series. Without chill filtration or added colour, the bottle shows the distillate's pure character after 16 years of maturation, with the full intensity of the cask strength preserved.
Tasting notes
Nose
Toasted oak, vanilla custard and dried tropical fruit, with dark chocolate, baking spice and a hint of leather.
Palate
Powerful and complex, with the same oak-driven depth as the nose, supported by the high strength.
Finish
Long and warming, with lingering dark honey, dried fruit, subtle oak tannins and a pleasant spicy afterglow.
