Expert description
Rum Nation Rare Rums 2006/2018 Small Batch is a Rum from Jamaica, distilled at the Worthy Park distillery, matured 8 years in the tropics and a further 4 years in Europe, bottled at natural cask strength 58%.
The rum is part of Rum Nation's Rare Rums series, launched in 2016 to meet growing demand for cask-strength rum. After distillation at Worthy Park in 2006, the rum first matured 8 years in Jamaica's tropical climate, where the intense heat accelerates maturation, then a further 4 years in Europe, giving it unusual depth and aromatic complexity. The release is limited to just 1002 bottles.

Did you know?
The combination of tropical and European maturation, known as "dual ageing", is used deliberately by Rum Nation to create a rum with both the intense maturation of the tropics and the slower, more rounded development from Europe.
