Rum Nation Barbados 8 Year Limited Edition Single Domaine is a Barbados Rum, selected and bottled by the Italian house Rum Nation, aged 8 years in the tropical climate and bottled at 40%.
Rum Nation, founded by Fabio Rossi in 1999, imports rum distilled in Barbados and lets it continue ageing in the tropical climate to preserve the richness and intensity that can otherwise be lost through ageing in a colder climate. This Limited Edition is a sweeter, more fruit-forward interpretation of the house's classic Barbados rum, made to be approachable and easy to enjoy.
The result is a honeyed, floral rum with a light, earthy sweetness from the sugar cane.
Tasting Notes
Nose
Ripe sugar cane, caramel and vanilla, with a hint of blood orange and dried fruit.
Palate
Rich and complex with caramel and tropical fruit such as plum and pineapple, supported by a fine oak spice.
Finish
Long and warm, with a gentle vanilla and oak note that slowly fades away.
