Rooster Rojo Anejo Tequila

Rooster Rojo produces at Fabrica de Tequilas Finos, located in the city of Tequila in the state of Jalisco, Mexico. The producer started in 2000, but is housed in a beautiful old colonial building from 1923 and produces a wide range of different tequila series. Rooster Rojo Tequila is produced from 100% blue agave and comes in three varieties; Blanco, Reposado and Añejo. Rooster Rojo Añejo has been aged for a minimum of 12 months in oak barrels, which has made it darker and given it a smokier aroma and flavor than the other Rooster Rojo tequilas. The tequila has an amber color with a scent of chocolate, tobacco, coffee and oak. The taste is full-bodied with notes of agave, caramel, vanilla and oak followed by a concentrated, yet soft and long aftertaste with a delicate touch of oak and vanilla.
