Ron Sostenible Experimental Cask 8 Year Rioja Finish is a Rum from the Dominican Republic, finished in former Rioja wine casks and bottled at 43%.

The rum is distilled from locally grown sugar cane in the Dominican Republic and matured for at least 8 years before undergoing its final, experimental cask finish - this time in casks that previously held Rioja wine from northern Spain. Part of the journey to Europe takes place aboard an old sailing ship powered entirely by the wind, where traditional craftsmanship meets an innovative approach to cask experimentation.

Behind the brand is A Clean Spirit, which produces Ron Sostenible in very limited quantities. Because each finish is unique and depends on the specific cask selection, no release in the Experimental Cask series will ever taste quite the same as the last.
