Mosgaard Edition No 1 Pedro Ximenez is an organic Danish Single Malt Whisky bottled at 46.3% from Mosgaard Distillery in Odense. The whisky is the first release in Mosgaard's Edition series – a series dedicated to special bottlings with emphasis on exclusive casks and limited numbers of bottles. Pedro Ximenez is the sweetest sherry cask type and gives an enormously rich, raisiny and dark fruity character. Edition No 1 represents Mosgaard's ambition to create special, memorable whisky experiences beyond the regular range. Bottled in 50 cl format.

Tasting notes

Nose

Dense PX sherry with dried raisins, dark chocolate and coffee. A nose that fills the room – rich and meditative at 46.3%.

Palate

Full-bodied PX sweetness with figs, dark plums and a warm spiciness from the organic distillate. The lower alcohol makes it more approachable than a cask strength version.

Finish

Long and persistent with dried fruits and a dark, chocolatey close.
