The blend consists of 75% rum from the Dominican Republic and 25% rum from Spain, with the two components aged 6 and 8 years respectively before being combined at Mezclado's blendery in Løsning. Unlike the sweeter Mez 1, No 2 is designed as a classic, dry rum with pronounced oak character, spiced with a touch of sweetness that creates the balance.

The result is a dry, characterful rum, where oak and spice carry the flavour rather than pure sweetness.
