Among the house's white grape plots in Baixo Corgo lie some of the oldest plantings in the Douro Valley. This miniature of Martha's Fine White offers a small, refreshing glimpse of that legacy, in a bottle you can finish in a couple of sips.
Expert's Description
Martha's Miniature Fine White Port is a Portuguese White Port from the Douro Valley in a 5 cl format, matured in stainless steel and bottled at 19%.
The wine is made exclusively from white grape varieties, fermented briefly in stainless steel to preserve its light straw colour and fresh fruit. It is the same young, sweet style as the house's 75 cl bottle, just in a small format.
Martha's Wine & Spirits was founded in 1727, when the family settled as grape growers in the Baixo Corgo district, one of the oldest sub-regions of the Douro and home to some of the valley's oldest white grape plots.

Did You Know?
Baixo Corgo, where the Martha family has its roots, is considered the oldest of the Douro Valley's three districts and has the highest rainfall of them all. That makes the soil more fertile than further east and has historically made the district known for exactly these white grape varieties.
