Every year at harvest, Four Pillars macerates freshly crushed Shiraz grapes from the Yarra Valley into the house's Rare Dry Gin, giving it a deep ruby colour with no added sugar.
Expert's description
Four Pillars Bloody Shiraz Gin is an Australian gin built on the house's Rare Dry Gin, bottled at 37.8%.
The gin is built on the botanicals of Four Pillars Rare Dry Gin, including juniper and Tasmanian pepperberry, joined by freshly crushed Shiraz grapes from the Yarra Valley.
All the sweetness and the deep, purple colour come entirely from the grapes themselves, with no added sugar.
The gin is made only once a year, at the time of the Shiraz harvest, making it a seasonal specialty release.
