The Boulet de Canon series is Compagnie des Indes' playground for spiced experiments. Number 7 sends the nose straight to an oriental spice market.
Expert description
Compagnie des Indes Boulet de Canon No. 7 Spiced With Smoky Aromas is a Spiced Rum infused with smoked jujube dates, cloves, pink pepper and guaiac wood, bottled at 46%.
The Boulet de Canon series, named after cannonballs as a nod to the British Navy and the smell of gunpowder, is French independent bottler Compagnie des Indes' spiced sideline to its pure single cask releases. Number 7 is built around smoked jujube dates and a secret spice blend, giving the rum a deep, almost grilled character, far from the sweet vanilla style often associated with spiced rum.
