A private family recipe from Amatitan, sipped for generations only by Mexico's most discerning tequila drinkers, is now bottled for the world. Codigo 1530 Blanco is pure agave, no detours.

    Expert Description

Codigo 1530 Blanco is a Mexican Blanco Tequila from Jalisco, bottled at 38%.

Codigo 1530 was founded in 2016 by former Crocs CEO Ron Snyder together with Federico Vaughan, with country singer George Strait joining as co-founder and investor. The tequila is distilled at Varo Destileria (NOM 1616) in Amatitan in the Los Bajos region of Jalisco, where the Perez Ocampo family has produced a private recipe known as "El Tequila Privado" for generations. Codigo 1530 Blanco is made exclusively from fully mature lowland agave, harvested after at least 7 years and hand-selected for its high sugar content. The agave is cooked in stainless steel ovens, fermented with local yeast and double-distilled in handmade stills, then bottled immediately after distillation with no resting in barrels. No added colour, sweeteners or flavouring.
