Expert's Description
Chiappini Guado De' Gemoli 2017 is a Red Wine from Italy from the Bolgheri Superiore appellation, made from a blend of 70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Cabernet Franc and 10% Merlot, bottled at 14.5% ABV.
The wine is a classic Super Tuscan style, where Bordeaux-inspired grapes are grown in Bolgheri's warm, coastal climate. Guado De' Gemoli is built for ageing and is recommended to drink from 2021 through to around 2033.
Tasting Notes
Nose
Tobacco and liquorice, rich dark berry fruit, ripe red fruits, vanilla and spice.
Palate
Round and supple with good concentration, fine-meshed tannin structure and a long, fine fruit texture.
Finish
Long with silky tannins and a hint of vanilla and spice.
Serving & Food Pairing
Serve at 16-18°C in a Bordeaux glass. Pairs with roast beef, lamb and mature cheeses.
