Casa Don Ramón Mezcal Salmiana is a Mexican Joven Mezcal with an ABV of 40%. The mezcal is made from 100% Salmiana agave, also known as maguey verde, grown in Zacatecas and taking up to ten years to mature before it can be harvested. Casa Don Ramón plants two new agave plants for every one harvested, and the label design is inspired by the traditional clay art of the indigenous peoples of the Oaxaca region.

Salmiana is a large, slow-growing agave that can grow far bigger than many other agave varieties used for mezcal. As a joven mezcal, it is either completely unaged or rested only briefly, giving a profile that differs clearly from the more earthy, vegetal character typically found in mezcal made from Espadín agave.
