Adelphi has revived its name since 1993 with a simple philosophy: find the best casks, leave them alone, and let time do the rest.
Expert's Description
Bunnahabhain 1998/2022 Adelphi 23 Years Old is an Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky matured in a refill oloroso cask and bottled at cask strength, 53.5%.
The whisky was distilled in 1998 and bottled in 2022 from cask #2145, a refill oloroso cask that after 23 years has given a deep, sherry-driven character without overwhelming the distillery's core style. The release is part of Adelphi's Limited series, where only the finest casks are allowed to carry the name.
587 bottles came from this single cask, and with 23 years behind it, this is one of the more richly matured Bunnahabhain releases independent bottlers have sent to Denmark.
