For the fifth annual release, master blender Oliver Chilton has for the first time built the blend around a single country, Barbados, seasoned with rum from Trinidad, Jamaica and Guyana plus drops of original pre-1970 navy rum.

    Expert Description

Black Tot 2024 Master Blenders Reserve is a Caribbean Rum, a blend dominated by Barbados rum with contributions from Trinidad, Jamaica and Guyana, bottled at 54.5%.

The 2024 release is the fifth in Black Tot's annual Master Blender's Reserve series and the first to be built around the character of a single country. Here, Bajan rum makes up 60% of the blend to highlight Barbados' fruity, sweet and honeyed style, while rum from Trinidad, Jamaica and Guyana adds depth. The blend is married with a perpetual reserve and a hand-selected collection of original navy rum flagons from pre-1970 bottles, aged in a combination of American and European oak and bottled un-chill filtered with no added sugar.

The result is a vibrant, full-bodied rum, where thick honey meets toasted vanilla and dried mango.

Long and spicy with lingering sweetness.
