Albert Ponnelle was founded in Beaune in 1870, and the house has since combined a négociant tradition with its own vineyards in some of Burgundy's finest appellations.

    Expert's Description

Albert Ponnelle Signature Rouge is a Red Wine from France with an alcohol content of 12.5%. The house was founded by Pierre-Lazare Ponnelle and is today run by the fifth generation, Pierre Ponnelle. The founder was known for his research into vinification processes, particularly the chemistry of fermentation, and collaborated in this respect with Louis Pasteur, who at the time lived in nearby Dôle. The Signature range is the house's accessible entry level, created to represent classic Burgundy style without the high price tag.
