Casg Annamh means rare cask in Scottish Gaelic and refers to the sherry casks that Aberlour has been using for the last 30 years. They have previously held Oloroso sherry and they help to provide the unmatched flavor. In addition to the sherry casks, Casg Annamh has been aged in 2 types of American oak barrels, so it is a triple maturation. On the palate, you'll find notes of apple, cinnamon, peach and a hint of licorice.
