Xanté blends French cognac with pear brandy and a touch of spice, a combination that made the brand a Scandinavian bar classic from the 1990s onward. The sparkling variant is meant as a lighter, more festive way into the same flavour profile.

History & Background

Xanté was developed in Sweden by what was then the V&S Group, the same house behind Absolut Vodka, as part of a broader push into cognac- and fruit-based liqueurs in the 1990s. Pear was chosen as cognac's counterpart because its gentle sweetness balances the spirit's strength without drowning it out.

Production & Style

French cognac is blended with distilled pear brandy and a light spicing, after which the sparkling version has carbonation added for a light, bubbly texture.
