Velier Guyana 2004 High Proof – Small Batch is an exclusive rum release from Velier, created in collaboration with Demerara Distillers Ltd in Guyana. The series is built on Luca Gargano’s decades‑long work with Demerara rum and his vision of preserving authentic tropical ageing directly at the distillery. This bottling marks a return after several years of pause and consists of a blend of three rums, the youngest distilled in 2004.

The rum is made from molasses, aged 100% tropically and bottled at 53.1%. Only 2,907 bottles were produced. It combines classic Demerara character with deep complexity and a rich, rounded flavour profile.

The aroma offers caramelised apricot, tarte tatin and prune, while the palate is full‑bodied and smooth with notes of chocolate, apricot, honey and delicate floral nuances. The finish is creamy and layered with roasted mango, flambéed banana, raisins and blood orange, rounded off with ginger and a touch of salt.

Guyana 2004 High Proof is a tribute to the historic Demerara style – a rum with depth, balance and a clear tropical signature, crafted for collectors and connoisseurs.
