In Kolding, Trolden Destilleri & Bryghus distil their gin in tiny 350-litre copper kettles, named after the Troldhede railway that once ran on lignite coal through Jutland. White Christmas is their festive take on the classic.
Expert's description
Trolden Copperpot White Christmas is a Danish organic gin distilled in traditional copper kettles and bottled at 38%.
The gin comes from Trolden Distillery in Kolding, which since 2011 has made whisky, rum and gin in small batches, all by hand. The base of the Copperpot range is juniper, elderflower, angelica root and freshly cut lime peel, drawn out through an infusion box inside the copper kettle during distillation.
In the White Christmas edition, wintery spices are added, giving the gin a cosy, seasonal twist without overshadowing the base Copperpot character.
