Torabhaig Taigh Single Malt Whisky 46% is an expression of the new generation of Isle of Skye whisky – young, characterful and clearly shaped by the distillery’s focus on controlled, aromatic peat smoke. Torabhaig works batch by batch, and the Taigh release reflects this style: a whisky with structure, freshness and a pronounced yet elegant smoky profile.

The aroma opens with maritime notes, damp malt, citrus and a clean, herbal smoke that is more aromatic than heavy. There is also a hint of vanilla and fresh oak, adding brightness and balance.

The palate is full and lively, combining sweet malt, lemon oil, light spice and a dry, mineral peat smoke that feels both modern and traditional at the same time. Torabhaig’s signature “well‑tempered peat” is evident here: smoke that is clear and expressive but never aggressive. The 46% ABV provides good texture without sharpness.

The finish is medium in length with dry smoke, grain, sea salt and a clean, almost herbal aftertaste.
