Torabhaig Taigh Single Malt Whisky Skye 46% is a Skye Single Malt Scotch Whisky matured in first-fill and refill Bourbon casks alongside a parcel of Madeira casks, bottled at 46%.

Taigh is Torabhaig's first permanent release — not another one-off limited edition, but the distillery's answer to what its house style should taste like going forward. After a run of small-batch Legacy releases, Torabhaig has distilled its identity into one bottle under the motto "Smoke with Taste": smoke that lifts the flavour rather than burying it. The barley is peated, but with a light touch rather than full force, and the result is a whisky built to welcome newcomers and seasoned peat fans alike.

The casks do much of the work. The Bourbon casks, both first-fill and refill, keep the spirit bright and add vanilla and a touch of honey, while the Madeira casks layer in a darker, almost wine-like sweetness of dried fruit. For the launch, Torabhaig invited Scottish poet Iona Lee to put the distillery's home on the Sleat peninsula into words — a reminder that Taigh is as much a place-name as it is a whisky.
