A stern, deeply carved face with sharp features stares up from the mug - not by accident, since the name is drawn from one of the most feared figures in Hawaiian mythology. At 85 cl, this is also the largest mug in the Tiki Mug range.
The Expert's Description
The Tiki Mug Kū-Ka-Ili-Moku Mug 85 cl is a ceramic mug from the Tiki Mug range, sculpted with a striking, brown tiki face and room for a full 85 cl drink.
The name Kū-Ka-Ili-Moku - often shortened to Kūkaʻilimoku - refers to a war god in Hawaiian mythology, known for the sharp, feather-adorned expression seen on traditional carvings. The mug draws directly on that iconography, with deep relief carving and an intense facial expression that makes it one of the most striking mugs in the range.
Design & Material
The mug is cast in ceramic and hand-glazed in brown tones, so every detail of the carved face stands out clearly. The solid ceramic wall and the generous volume make the mug well suited for sharing a drink or enjoying one slowly over a long evening.
Use & Recommendation
With its 85 cl, the mug is a natural fit for larger portions of fruity, exotic cocktails such as a Zombie, a Mai Tai or a Colada Crusher - or as a striking punch bowl for several guests. Hand washing is recommended, so the glaze and the sharp facial detail stay looking good.
