From Stone's experimental series comes Locoveza - a barrel aged mocha stout, soured and matured on bourbon barrels until it becomes something far more complex than its name suggests.

Expert description of Stone Locoveza Charred Stone Xocoveza Mocha Stout

Locoveza Charred Stone Xocoveza Mocha Stout is brewed by Stone Brewing / Arrogant Bastard Brewing Co. as part of the brewery's 2015 Series, batch number 05. The base beer is Stone's popular Xocoveza, a Mexican-inspired mocha stout spiced with cinnamon, cocoa and chili, here aged and soured on bourbon barrels to add an extra dimension of wood notes and tartness.

This edition, called Charred Stone, adds a hint of smoky character from the charred barrels, giving the beer a complex profile ranging from sweet cocoa to smoky bourbon and a light tart finish. It is a beer brewed for the most adventurous stout lovers.
