The rum comes from the Bodegas de America distillery in Pesé in the Herrera province of Panama's Azuero Peninsula, where between eight and ten different sugarcane varieties are grown, adapted to the region's fertile soil and climate. The rum is aged for up to 8 years in Panama, before being shipped to Spirited Union's distillery in Amsterdam and finished for 6 months in tailor-made casks pre-conditioned with African vanilla. The method is part of Spirited Union's Exclusive Rum Cask Series, where each origin rum receives its own unique Amsterdam cask character.

The result is a rich, aromatic rum, where vanilla and caramel meet toasted oak and a hint of tropical fruit.
