Lots of seaweed, salt and pepper hit the nose in a big explosion. After a while, an elegant fruity scent of citrus, tangerine, fresh ginger and ripe late summer plums emerges.Taste: Young intrusive Islay character. The peat is heavy and dusty on the palate, tongue and back of the mouth. Cocoa, faint sherry sweetness and honey mingle with the peaty flavor. The finish is dominated by iodine, salt and pepper/peat.Comment: There is no doubt that this is malt whisky from Islay This is not a "nice" and "well-behaved" whisky.
