Green apples, dried fruit and a touch of almonds. Panama makes rum in a light, fresh style, and here virgin oak has added spice on top.
Expert Description
S.B.S Panama 2010 Bourbon and Virgin Oak Cask is a Panamanian Rum matured in ex-Bourbon and virgin oak casks and bottled at 55%. It is a single cask rum made from molasses and distilled in a column still in 2010. After 13 years in cask, 1423 World Class Spirits bottled it in August 2023 as part of the S.B.S Single Barrel Selection series, non chill filtered and with no additives.
The virgin oak gives a spicy, woody character, which the bourbon cask rounds off with sweet caramel. The result is a dry rum with a fresh start and a finish that lasts.
Only 419 bottles were filled, all of them bottled exclusively for the Danish market.
