Since 1946, Santa Cristina, the house behind the iconic Tuscan Sangiovese bottle, has set the standard for approachable Italian quality wine. Bianco Umbria is the white branch of the family - just as easy to fall for.
Expert's Description
Santa Cristina Bianco Umbria IGT is a White Wine from Umbria in Italy made from the Grechetto, Procanico and Chardonnay/Viognier grapes, bottled at 10.5% ABV.
The grapes grow in the heart of central Italy on gentle hills with limestone soil, at 200-300 metres elevation, where warm days and cool nights create a perfect balance between acidity, freshness and ripeness. The altitude gives the grapes a natural crispness and a clean, clear aromatic profile that has been a house hallmark since the first vintage in 1946.
