Rum Nation has been bringing home some of the world's most interesting rum casks to Italy since 1999, and this Barbadian Single Domaine release captures a vintage that today ranks among the house's older treasures.
Expert Description
Rum Nation Barbados 2000 Limited Edition 8 Year Single Domaine is a Barbados Rum from a single source, aged for 8 years and bottled at 43%.
The rum is released by Rum Nation, the Italian independent bottler that has, since the late 1990s, specialised in seeking out and maturing rum from single countries and domaines rather than blending across origins. The Single Domaine designation means the rum comes exclusively from one particular source in Barbados, with no addition from other distillates. The rum was distilled in 2000 and aged for 8 years as a limited release, long before Rum Nation's later, better-known Barbados series.
The result is a classic Barbadian rum, where soft caramel and tropical fruit meet a lightly spiced, rounded finish.

Did You Know?
Rum Nation's Single Domaine concept sets it apart from many other Italian bottlers by consistently keeping each country's rum separate from other origins, rather than blending them into a generic style.
