Only 304 bottles exist of this rare single cask release from the Danish rum house RomDeLuxe, sourced from an island rarely seen on Danish rum shelves: La Réunion.
Expert Description
RomDeLuxe Collectors Series Rum #7 La Reunion Single Cask is a La Réunion Rum, bottled from a single cask by the Danish bottler RomDeLuxe, aged 8 years in a former red wine cask and bottled at 55.6%.
RomDeLuxe, founded by Kristian Jørgensen, specialises in seeking out and bottling rare, unadulterated rum casks from around the world, with no added sugar or colouring. This release in the respected Collectors Series comes from the French island of La Réunion in the Indian Ocean, where the rum tradition is closely linked to the agricole style also known from Martinique, but with its own, more spiced character. The red wine cask lends a deep, winey complexity rarely found in the otherwise pure agricole style.
The bottle was filled in November 2021, and with only 304 bottles produced it is a sought-after rarity for collectors.
