A dram of whisky needs room to open up, even in a stemless glass. Riedel Fire is the tumbler that sits solid and reassuring in your hand, its wide curve below the rim holding on to the aromas of grain and cask.
The Expert’s Description
Riedel Fire Whisky Tumbler is a stemless whisky glass from the Tumbler Collection by the Austrian glassmaker Riedel, made from machine-blown crystal glass with a compact, rounded body shaped to concentrate whisky's aromas.
Fire is one of three shape families in Riedel's Whisky & Longdrink Tumbler Collection, alongside Spey and Optical O, and the name nods to the warm, rustic style the glass is drawn in. If you're building out your whisky collection, take a look at our range of Whisky.
Design & Material
The wide, rounded body and the gently tapered rim mean Fire holds on to whisky's aromas, while the low 98 mm height gives a solid grip on the glass. The crystal glass is machine-blown, giving it an even, clean finish without making it too delicate for everyday use.
Use & Recommendation
Fire is designed for whisky enjoyed neat or with a single ice cube, where the wide glass leaves room to swirl and nose the dram. It is dishwasher safe, so it works just as easily for everyday use as for a special occasion.
